CIF SOUTHERN SECTION-FORD BOYS MASTERS MEET TO MOVE TO CITIZENS BUSINESS BANK ARENA
LOS ALAMITOS – The 2014 CIF Southern Section-Ford Boys Masters Wrestling Meet will make a venue change from Temecula Valley High School to Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario.
The agreement between the CIF-SS and CBBA is for an initial three year term.
The Masters Meet is the CIF-SS qualifier for the CIF State Wrestling Championships the following weekend in Bakersfield.
“We are very excited to announce that our Masters Meet Championships will be held at Citizens Business Bank Arena,” said Commissioner of Athletics Rob Wigod.
“What a tremendous venue for the CIF-SS to showcase our outstanding wrestlers in a state of the art complex that provides even more spectator capacity then we’ve ever had before.”
The CBBA opened on October 16, 2008 at a cost of $150 million dollars and is owned and by the City of Ontario and operated by AEG Facilities. The 225,000 square foot facility has 9,500 fixed seats and, with portable seating, will reach a capacity of 9,736 for wrestling. There are an additional 36 suites.
Wrestling at the arena will run from February 28 to March 1, 2014. Ticket prices will be $7.00
per day for all students and $12.00 per day for all adults. Parking will be $5.00 for the day.
